ByteShooter

The byteshooter is available in different versions:

Master:
Each master has a unique signature (e.g. MegaSpeed). The data read out from the ECU is stored in binary format. In all EDC16 ECUs the checksum is corrected by Byteshooter. Binary tuned files can be written on the ECU with byteshooter.

Slave:
The read out data is packed and encoded. The encoding depends on the master signature. In this format the file is send to the master. Only the master can open the encrypted file and open it. After the tuner worked on the open file he encodes it again and sends it back to the slave. The slave can now write the tuned encoded file into the ECU.

Semimaster:
The semimaster is a slave in principle. However, it can not onky write coded files, but also open files in the ECU. This has the advantage that the user can open files from any tuner. There are also customers who own an open tuning file, but are not in position to produce their own files.

Following software modul can be purchased seperately:
Modul 30 (Passwort Protection inkl. TP8/10) Modul 30 (password protectiion incl. TP8/10). Modul 30 is for all MED17/EDC17 protected TriCore processors. Modul 30 enables read/write of almost all BOSCH EDC17 and MED17 via toolbox. This makes it possible to tune ECUs that have a so-called tuning protection. For checksum calculation modul 007 is required.
