The new K-TAG is 100% J-Tag compatible, but completely different. Usually J-Tag programmers are tools that are available only for large productions but not found in chiptuning devices. By using only essential components, we have combined the communication protocols J-Tag, Motorola BDM / Nexus and Bootloader Mitsubishi / Infineon Tricore / ST in a single product.
Alientech produces both KESSv2, as well as K-TAG and the associated software, which is why they are perfectly matched. Dealing with K-TAG can be learned in a very short time, since all communication protocols having the same functional principles. Once you have learned to use one of them, the use of the other will be a matter of course. Alientech knows what it means to work in motion. Unlike many other reprogramming tools for ECUs K-TAG offers the opportunity to unlock and receive only the applications that you really use.
Like the entire line of Alientech programming devices, it is possible to acquire K-TAG in both the master version, as well as in the slave version. The slave user can therefore count on the most extensive network in the chip tuning sector.
The only thing K-TAG does not include: the OBD communication. But in this regard you can rely on KESSv2.
